My style: Dogwalk
Has spring really arrived in Oslo???!! :D
I'm not sure if I dare to believe it..
But the "Hestehov" flower has appeared, and that's a pretty safe sign of spring.
If you live some place warm, keep in mind that we Norwegians haven't seen the sun for almost half a year now. So people are coming out of their hideaways, taking their sunday walks wearing sunglasses and smiles.
Oslo is alive againg.
I'm wearing my leather jacket from Zara, jeans from Bikbok, wellies from Hunter, scarf from H&M, top from Gina Tricot and my favourite very practical bag bought somewhere in Paris.
Ruby is wearing her new haircut, that I gave her yesterday with my fabric scissors.... I think her hairdue turned out quite well.

Just sketching..

Lately I haven't been doing too good, feeling quite ill. And I can't seem to do anything productive, or finish things I start. Can't even sleep fully. Haven't been able to create anything or draw like I think I should. And the more stressed, the worse it gets. I have really ruined a few started illustrations these last days. So I couldn't sleep tonight, and picked up an old magazine. Saw a pic of this model (do you see who?) and figured I should try to sketch it. Tired and not really giving a damn, cause I didn't have any expectations that it would turn out to something anyway, I just let the pencil fly over the paper. Didn't even bother to finish. Brushed my teeth (again), and checked out the drwaing. Hmmm... It kinda doesn't suck. Actually, I think sometimes not finishing can be good. And not taking things too serious, and just relaxing is definitely the best way. Things doesn't have to be perfect.

Photographer: Yelena Yemchuk
I adore her pictures. There's something so special about them. It's like you can tell from her photos that she is a deep and passionate person. This photographer, painter and film director has among other things done tons of shoots for designers and fashion magazines, and also some very interesting art work. If you are not familiar with her work you should definitely check her out.

Haider Ackermann f/w 09
Looking at Haider Ackermann's latest collection I get emotional.
That's how I get when I see true beauty.
It feels like LOVE!

My vintage bag
So, Grace asked me about what's my best vintage buy. I must admit I'm not too good of a vintage shopper, and lately I've been thinking that I need to do something about that. But I used to buy more vintage when I was younger, it was a lot cheaper then , before everyone was obsessing with vintage. We even called it second hand...he he. Strictly speaking vintage is a term that can be used on items that are 25 years ore older, but nowadays we call everything thats a few seasons old vintage. Anyway, I bought this bag on a market 4 years ago, and I still use it a lot. My friends are probably sick of seeing it, I've used it so much. I love it though, and you'll probably continue seeing me with my black and metallic leather love. So, I guess I have to say this is my best vintage buy.
What about you guys, any vintage faves?

Atelier Mayer
Pumps from the 1980's, Victor Costa striped dress from the 1960's, Givenchy dress from the 1980's
Harem pants by Yves Saint Laurent from the 1970's, Art Neuveau Earrings , Velvet black mini dress from the 1980's
Wool cardigan by Salvatore Ferragamo, skirt from Christian Dior from the 1980's, antique necklace from Belmacz Al Hamba.
Have you checked out the online store Atelier Mayer?
Vintage treasures from all over the world has been collected, to get sold on this site. It's like vintage heaven! Personaly I think e-bay is too much work, I mean I want to find something unique there, but to find it I have to go through loads of junk. That's not the case on Atelier Mayer, where the vintage finds are handpicked. It's not the cheapest place to shop, but for us poor people at least there's plenty of inspiration to find. They also have info on different designers, style icons and short videos from fashion personalities. Fun:)
