Minimal maxi

I'm head over heels for the maxi skirts on the ss2010 runways.

Looks so nice on clean cut garments, and I bet it will feel real good on sunny spring days.

Also like how some designers do the one-tone looks, like red from head to toe.

Sigh. Cravings..

White shirt

Inspiration is coming, spring is coming, hurray for that. Felt like making a drawing today, just for my self, without getting payed for it. No one even forced me, haha. You know you're on track when you just make things for fun.
Must be the longer, and most of all lighter, days.
Love that.

My figurine for Anywho

The cool girls behind Anywho did a contest, where the readers were supposed to do a little styling set featuring a Monies necklace. Such a cool necklace it is, and it was even the price, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Did this drawing, and even though I was a bit late with my subission they were kind enough to post my sketch on their blog.

Oh, almost forgot: The figurine is wearing a Monies necklace, Ann Demeuelmeester ss 09 dress , cycleshorts and Rodarte ss 10 shoes.

New header

About time I got me a new header, don't you think?
After years of not having any drawing energy what so ever, I finally feel like drawing again. And painting. And whatever makes the creative part of me satisfied. I'm a bit afriad to jinx it by saying this, but my long lost drawing mojo might have returned..
It feel so good to finally be able to sink into that deep concentration again. I just love that, being alone, listening to music and draw for hours without even realising time flys.

Just sketching..

Lately I haven't been doing too good, feeling quite ill. And I can't seem to do anything productive, or finish things I start. Can't even sleep fully. Haven't been able to create anything or draw like I think I should. And the more stressed, the worse it gets. I have really ruined a few started illustrations these last days. So I couldn't sleep tonight, and picked up an old magazine. Saw a pic of this model (do you see who?) and figured I should try to sketch it. Tired and not really giving a damn, cause I didn't have any expectations that it would turn out to something anyway, I just let the pencil fly over the paper. Didn't even bother to finish. Brushed my teeth (again), and checked out the drwaing. Hmmm... It kinda doesn't suck. Actually, I think sometimes not finishing can be good. And not taking things too serious, and just relaxing is definitely the best way. Things doesn't have to be perfect.
