Rosary

I august var jeg i Malta, og der besøkte vi en by som heter Mosta, hvor vi så en kjempefin basilika. Det var så utrolig fint der inne, overdådig og med masse kunst, og det funklet i gull og lysekroner. Jeg ble helt påvirket av den hellige stemningen og kjøpte meg et halskjede/ rosenkrans. Det kostet bare 10 euro, og jeg har blitt kjempeglad i det. Veldig kult å kombinere med flere kjeder i mange varianter, gjerne lesset oppå hverandre. Jeg tenker Madonna's "Like a prayer" møter dagens luksusbohem, mmmmm, deilig:)

Basilica. It was incredibly beautiful in there, totally overwhelming with lots of art, sparkling in gold and chandelairs. I got felt the holy vibe and bought a necklace/ Rosary. It only cost 10 Euro, and I just love it. very cool to combine with other necklaces in different variations, preferably on top of each other. I'm thinking Madonna's "Like a prayer" meets todays luxury bohemian, mmmmm, delicious:)

Paris fashion week

På style.com får vi fortløpende oppdateringer fra moteuken i Paris.
Gareth Pugh, som er en engelsk designer, har flyttet showt sitt til Paris, og hadde visning 27. september. Som vanlig er kolleksjonen hans helt vill!:) Kjennetegnet hans er arkitektoniske volum og futuristiske kreasjoner. Kanskje ikke noe å ha på seg sånn i hverdagen... De siste to dagene i Oslo har vært en eneste lang lysfest, og horder av Oslo- folk har vært ute å deltatt på festen.
Det startet på torsdag med det årlige fakkeltoget på høstjevndøgn. Langs hele Akerselva ble gatelys slukket, og i stedet var det satt ut tusenvis av fakler. Folk fra hele byen, og andre steder, stimlet sammen for å gå i tog, og for å se showene og lys installasjonene langs elva. Stemningen var magisk.

The last two days in Oslo have been one long light- fest, and masses of Oslo- people has participated in the party. It started on Thursday with the celebration of the longest autumn night. All the way along the river the citylights were shut, instead there were thousands of torches. People from all over Oslo, and other places, gathered to walk in the march and to see all the shows and light installations by the river. It was magical.


På fredag var det Oslo Kulturnatt, og hele kvelden var stappfull av forkjellige ting man kunne oppleve. Kunst, musikk, film osv. Kvelden toppet seg da vi fikk se en fantastisk fyrverkeri oppvisning.
Det har vært to lysende dager i hovedstaden:)

On Friday there was Oslo Culture Night, and the whole evening was packed with different cultural experiences. Art, music, films and more. The highlight of the night was when we saw a fantastic show with fireworks.
It's been two bright days in the Capital:)

Gucci's høst rtw kolleksjon har blitt veldig populær, kanskje fordi den er litt motvekt til så mye annet vi har sett i motebildet i det siste, kanskje er vi rett og slett klare for å få beltet ned fra livet og ned på hoftene? Litt russisk folklore, litt bohem og masse sexy, denne stilen slår ann hos mange.

Gucci's fall rtw collection has become very popular, maybe because it's different from a lot of what we have seen in fashion lately, maybe we just are ready to move the belt down from the waist and to the hips? A bit of Russian folklore, a bit bohemic and lots of sexy, this style hits it many of us.

Windowshopping

Fab window display!
Kanskje den kuleste vindusutstillingen jeg har sett! Dette er fra Sonia Rykiel butikken i St. Germain distriktet i Paris. Jeg var der i april, så dette er fra vår- kolleksjonen, men selv om det er en stund siden, måtte jeg bare vise det. Festlige vinduer som dette tar windowshopping til et annet nivå:)
Temaet var et slags gå tur med hunden greie, de store hundene var elektriske og beveget seg, også kanskje best av alt var det alle de små mennene i bånd da. Haha:)
Kan vi ikke få flere slike forsegjorte vindusutstillinger i Oslo?


Maybe the coolest window display I've ever seen. This is from the Sonia Rykiel store in St. Germain in Paris. I was there in April, so this is from the sprig collection, but I just had to show it, even tho it's a while ago. Fun windows like this takes windowshopping to another level:) The theme was a walk the dog thing, the big dogs were electrical and they moved, and maybe best of all was all the tiny men in leishes. Haha:)
I wish we could get amazing window displays like this in Oslo.

Artist of the month

Andy Warhol


Andy Warhol er denne månedens kunstner fordi Astrup Fearnley museet for tiden har en utstilling av ham. Og selvfølgelig fordi kunsten hans er veldig aktuell. Pop art har en så tydelig og stor påvirkning på mye av det vi ser i dag, innen mote, media, kunst osv. Og Warhol er jo kanskje den mest kjente pop art kunstneren vi har, hvem har vel ikke sett trykkene av Marilyn Monroe eller Audrey Hepburn? Og hvor mange har ikke disse på veggen hjemme...?

Andy Warhol sa "I fremtiden vil alle ha 15 minutter med berømmelse", noe som stemmer ganske bra med hvordan media fungerer i dag, med realityshow, myspace osv, alle kan bli sett og veldig mange vil bli sett. Apropos å se, jeg anbefaler en titt på Warhol utstillingen som vises 13.09- 14.12.2008, Astrup Fearnley Museum of modern art, kanskje best av alt; dette museet har gratis inngang:)

Pop art has such a big influense on fashion, media, art and so on today, and Warhol mightjust be the most known pop art artist there is, who hasn't seen the Marilyn Monroe ore Audrey Hepburn prints? And how many people have this pictures at their walls at home?
Andy Warhol said: "In the future everyone will have their 15 minutes of fame", he might have been right, thinking how it is today with reality shows, myspace and so on..
