Menswear, fall 2009

Looking handsome

Guys, there's nothing wrong with looking like you know what you're doing. I know my male readers are quite handsome, but if you ask me, beautiful clothes will never hurt. Here's more of my favourites for fall 2009.
And girls, maybe you'll enjoy this post too;)

Alexander McQueen

Stunning! I wish more guys would wear slim trousers. And hats. And basicly, look as sharp as the McQueen men.

Lanvin

Check out the shoes, and socks, from Lanvin. Looks nice, huh?
Please don't try this with tennis socks!

Burberry Prorsum

I kinda always like the Burberry Prorsum guys. Very hot with the knit next to the suits, contrasts are good.

Givenchy

Ooohh...very dark and dangerous. Elegant.

Ann Demeulemeester

One of the most interesting collections, I think. But off course, I am a big fan of Ann Demeulemeester.

My photoalbum, from the streets

Truth

These 3 are some of my favourites, from all the photos I have taken the last years.
They are probably not my best, but they stand for something.
Something that has to do with my way of being.
Especially the last one has a message that I really like.

Menswear, straight from Paris, fall 2009

Kris Van Assche

Now there's Paris Fashion Week, and the first pictures are showing up. The first round is of menswear, so boys, if you wonder what's going to be hot for fall 2009, check out men.style.com. I was sitting here watching the mens collections, and immidiatly I got a favourite, Kris Van Assche. i think this collection is fantastic. It's not that often that I see a mens collection I think is incredibly hot, sometimes menswear can be a bit boring, and other times when it's supposed to be creative I think it turns out a bit funny. Personally I think men should look a little tough, and with individual style. The boys of Van Assche is something completely out of the ordinary, and I think they're extremely fine.

Here's the man himself. I like the way he mixes the realxed items like jeans and sneakers with the blazer that looks really luxurious. Mixing it up can be done wrong, but like this I think it looks very nice. Gotta admire a guy who knows how to layer.

In a perfect world, I would be a Haider Ackermann girl, and my man, Kris Van Assche from head to toe. Look at us how cute we'd be, he he, conquering the world together!

Costume Awards

And the Award for the best dressed party goes to..

Yesterday I attended Costume Awards, and it was pretty fun. A whole lot of well dressed people, celebrities and other exhibitionists. Red carpet and Champagne flowing, yeah it was a bit glamorous. I didn't bring my camera, I know, kinda stupid. But I was there to talk to and write about some of the guests, so I wouldn't have time to take that many pictures. As some of you know I write for Norwegian Fashion, and me attending this party was work related, but we did of course have our photographer there, and he shot many pictures of the good lookng guests, so stop by the NF site next week to see more.

Vanessa Rudjord, who is an Idol of mine (she's the Editor in chief of Costume) & Synnøve Skarbø.

Moods of Norway presented the award for best shoe store (Lille vinkel sko). These guys are really talented Norwegian designers, check out their site to see their fun style.

Marianne, a model who also works in a hot store in Oslo, called Koma.
I like her look, she's wearing a dress from Acne and shoes from Topshop.

Marte Krohg, the stunning Violinist and Fashionista.

Charlotte Torstvedt (MTV host), who was voted best dressed.

Iselin Engan, who was voted best Norwegian designer. She was in the Norwegian version of Project Runway, she didn't win but she became very popular. Her feminine floaty dresses are always beautiful.

Kjell Nordstrøm & Cecilie Melli. Both designers.

Her er hans nye blogg.

I had a talk with Kjell Nordstrøm, the man behind "Baron von Buldog" and the new brand "Dobbermann und Dobbermann", and I must say he was the coolest person I talked with at the party. By that I mean, he's a real nice and friendly guy. He said that people don't work together as much as they should in tiny fashion Norway, and that if Norwegian design are going to survive, the people in the industry should cooperate more. That's a man with the right spirit, don't you think? His first collection under the new brand will be shown in September, and I really look forward to seeing it, as his work is always interesting. Here's his new blog.
